Michael Mccormick
Michael McCormick grew up in a suburb near Minneapolis, Minnesota. During high school, Michael was active in the Minnesota YMCA Youth in Government Program and was the 1990 Minnesota Youth Governor. From 1990 until 1994 Michael attended the University of Colorado-Boulder, was a President’s Leadership Class Scholar, and graduated with a degree in Political Science. In 2001, Michael graduated from the University of Denver College of Law near the top of his class. During law school, Michael was an intern at the Colorado Attorney General’s office in the Securities Fraud, Consumer Protection, and Public Official Units. He also served as president of the law student chapter of Christian Legal Society. From 2003 until 2007, Michael served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Colorado Attorney General’s Office during which he represented the Colorado Department of Transportation in eminent domain cases against landowners. Since entering private practice in 2007, Michael has represented landowners against the government in eminent domain cases. Michael also practices in commercial real estate. Michael and his wife reside in Highlands Ranch and have three boys, two in college and one in high school. Michael strongly believes in upholding conservative principles and protecting private property rights from government intrusion and over-regulation.
brit Ellerman
Brit Ellerman is a lifelong leader with a deep commitment to service, achievement, and the values that shape strong communities. Growing up in a rural setting, Brit took on leadership roles early as president of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, DECA, Future Business Leaders of America, and Student Body President. He captained his high school basketball team, won the state FBLA speech competition, and secured the National Program of Work Competition title for DECA. As a state and national champion team roper, Brit brought his dedication to excellence to college, where he competed for the University of Wyoming rodeo team, earned a business degree, became a regional champion team roper, a circuit champion, and made the College National Finals Rodeo. During this time, he launched his first venture, Texas Saddlery, which still exists. Following this he continued to rodeo, build businesses, attend acting school, and coached high school basketball.
Today, Brit continues his pursuits as a professional rodeo cowboy, rancher, and business owner, managing Ellerman Brands, which operates across multiple industries with a focus on manufacturing and marketing. He consults for brands, holds multiple real estate licenses, and actively engages in nonprofit work, including with the Children’s Hospital Rodeo Experience. Married to Makenna Ellerman, a financial advisor, Brit is committed to a life of action-driven leadership and seeks to unite his class around the values of capitalism, free markets, and freedom.
